The vision is to demonstrate that it is possible to forecast major earthquakes days before they strike. 

The objective of GeoCosmo is to establish and maintain ground stations, ground station networks, and satellite data streams to collect extremely diverse data and to use state-of-the-art Artificial intelligence to recognize patterns and trends.

Expected Results are to demonstrate the feasibility of actionable forecasts giving PLACE-DATE-MAGNITUDE of impending major earthquakes within reasonable limits (<200 km uncertainty, within a 1-3 days of the actual occurrence, and within 1 unit of magnitude on the Richter scale).

-GeoCosmo team discovered the science behind all precursors in NASA Goddard Space and NASA Ames laboratories

-Combines information available from satellites, both on geostationary and low-Earth orbits, with information available from regional ground station networks and other ground assets

-New technology is prepared for each ground station with specific and different sensors also including the Data Storage room, Back Office and Forecast bureau.

-GeoCosmo is ready to establish a pack of Early Warning Systems in any part of the world. Today’s new science is tomorrow’s new technology.

GeoCosmo’s Global Earthquake Warning System (GEWS)

Combines information available from satellites, both on geostationary and low--‐Earth orbits, with information available from regional ground station networks and other ground assets.


GEWS will monitor the range of signals that the Earth produces when stresses build up deep below to dangerously high levels, heralding an increased probability of a major seismic event.
When fully implemented GEWS will provide an alert 1--‐3 days before any major earthquake
